Eunice C. Hurd

Eunice Hurd is a former Gallery Director, Appraiser, and Consultant specializing in the purchase, sale, exhibition, and appraisal of fine art photographs. She is an advisor to photographers, helping to advance and refine their careers, and a consultant to collectors, assisting with the purchase, sale, valuation, and management of their collections. She is a candidate for Associate Membership at the Appraisers Association of America and is USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) compliant through January 2026.
Director of Robert Klein Gallery in Boston from 2001 to 2013, Eunice managed the Gallery‘s contemporary roster, which consisted of emerging, mid-career, and established photographers. She worked closely with artists to set pricing and editions, facilitate consignments and sales, and promote new projects. Clients included museums, collectors, art consultants, and interior designers, among others. Eunice has extensive exhibition experience and, during her time at the gallery, participated in many art fairs, including The Photography Show (AIPAD), Paris Photo, The Armory Show, Art Miami, Art Chicago, Art Hamptons, and the Boston International Fine Art Show.
Eunice regularly participated in the annual portfolio reviews at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Griffin Museum of Photography at the Photographic Resource Center in Boston. She co-curated FLASHED: New England Photographers with Jason Landry of Panopticon Gallery for the Flash Forward Festival in 2012, and was a juror for The Fence in 2013.
In 2016, Eunice started a consulting business, acting as an advisor to photographers, assisting with career development, branding, editing and promoting portfolios, pricing and editions, and securing gallery representation. She currently works as an appraiser of fine art photographs, serves as an advisor for a large private collection in Boston, and consults for several photographers. Eunice lives in Roxbury, Massachusetts, with her husband and two daughters.
